Last Sunday a couple buddies and I decided to go climbing at Tanner Dome in the Wet Mountains southwest of Colorado Springs. We drove down and parked at the trailhead. Packed up the packs and started up the trail. But right at the start of the trail was a US Forest Service sign that read: "RAPTOR NESTING AREA Closed to Rock Climbing."
