HSBC exec resigns as senators hammer money-laundering lapses

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - HSBC Holdings Plc put itself at the mercy of the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, acknowledging shortcomings in its anti-money laundering operations and revealing the resignation of a global executive.
